Chris Moule (MSc, BSc, MCSP, MACP, HCPC)

Chris is a qualified Physiotherapist, having graduated with a first-class degree from the University of the West of England in 2008. He has specialised in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy since 2010. He has experience of working both in the NHS and private sector. He has completed his MSc in Manual Therapy in 2019, including gaining accreditation to the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP). He has previously worked as an Advanced practitioner in MSK Interface clinics and for the last 4 years has been working in Primary care as an FCP. He is a qualified Injection therapist and a non-medical prescriber. He has extensive experience supporting other Physiotherapists with clinical supervision. He is qualified as an NHS England Roadmap Supervisor and has experience with supervising FCP’s through the Roadmap process. In addition to clinical work, he has also worked for the Gloucestershire Primary Care Training hub as a Supervision fellow, leading on supporting the expansion of the ARRS roles within primary care and providing support to clinical directors, supervisors and clinicians.

Supervision 

Clinical supervision is essential to ensure competency in your role and ensure safety to patients and clinicians. Effective supervision will challenge your thinking and encourage you as a clinician to reflect on your practice in a non-judgemental environment. It will help to identify learning needs and encourage ways to fill knowledge gaps. Supervision may include: 

  • Specific case reviews 

  • Reflecting on evidence and clinical guidelines  

  • Thinking about progression of rehab plans 

  • Discussing management of specific pathologies 

  • Considering medicine optimisation 

  • Considering the appropriateness of clinical tests such as imaging and bloods and challenging you on how they may help to change your current management plans 

  • Discussing when it might be appropriate to escalate management to consider more invasive treatments 

  • Initial 2 hour mapping and career planning

    Bi-monthly 1 hour supervision session for six sessions

  • Ad hoc one to one online mentoring session

  • £30 per 30 minute one to one session

    £50 per 60 minute one to one session
